SECRETS INTENDED FOR BELIEVERS ALONE ARE HIDDEN IN THE QUR'AN

When we read the Qur’an we see that the most fundamental matters that Muslims have to know and understand are set out quite explicitly. Allah describes His creation in the Qur’an. He describes satan, reveals what is lawful and unlawful and tells us of the lives of the prophets. It is revealed how the life of this world is a test and how our true homes are in the Hereafter. Paradise and Hell are described in the Qur’an and people are warned against the torments in the latter.

In addition to all these basic issues, the Qur’an also contains special signs that Allah has deliberately concealed in it for believers. Through these signs, our Lord tells believers how they should behave toward deniers, the best way of preaching the word and what they must do if the moral values of the Qur’an are to rule the world. These signs are only, of course, comprehensible to those servants who can look at the Qur’an with the eyes of the heart and good conscience, who can grasp the radiance and message of the Qur’an, and with whom Allah is well pleased. This is just one of the hundreds of miracles of the Qur’an.

Our Almighty Lord Makes Science Obligatory for Believers in the Qur’an

The presence in the Qur’an of scientific and mathematical miracles is itself a miracle that confirms the sublime nature of the Qur’an, its miraculous aspect and the fact that it is a divine scripture. But in addition to that specific miracle, when we look at the verses of the Qur’an we see that Allah makes science obligatory for believers. Allah advises believers to reflect on the extraordinary creation they witness and to learn the knowledge of the creation of the Earth and sky. In Surah Al ‘Imran our Lord says:

Those who remember Allah, standing, sitting and lying on their sides, and reflect on the creation of the heavens and the Earth: “Our Lord, You have not created this for nothing. Glory be to You! So safeguard us from the punishment of the Fire.” (Surah Al ‘Imran, 191)

Scientific development and progress proves the sublime and extraordinary nature of Allah’s creation in the most perfect way. The more that people of good conscience possessed of this knowledge deepen in science, the more amazed they are by Allah’s sublime artistry. Just a single cell, the glorious DNA within a single cell or a single protein is enough to see the power and might of Allah. Almighty Allah is powerful enough to create worlds within worlds, to create all things from nothing, and gloriously shows His sublime omniscience by creating atoms in tiny specks of space and making atoms, which themselves consist of 99% empty space, the natural causes of matter itself. Almighty Allah is powerful enough to bring the Earth and sky into being through a single explosion, out of nothing, out of emptiness. Almighty Allah reveals this sublime creation, the Big Bang miracle in other words, in this verse:

As for heaven – We built it with great power and gave it its vast expanse. (Surat adh-Dhariyat, 47)

Almighty Allah has made science essential for Muslims in order for them to comprehend and see His matchless artistry and the glories in the entities He creates. Those who deepen in science with the knowledge of the Qur’an will also grow in faith since they will witness His omniscience. Allah tells us in another verse:

But those of them who are firmly rooted in knowledge, and the believers, believe in what has been sent down to you and what was sent down before you: those who establish prayer and pay alms, and believe in Allah and the Last Day – We will pay such people an immense wage. (Surat an-Nisa’, 162)

For that reason, Allah advises true Muslims to learn and research the scientific facts and to become aware of what is all around them:

Have they not looked at the sky above them: how We structured it and made it beautiful and how there are no fissures in it? And the Earth: how We stretched it out and cast firmly embedded mountains onto it and caused luxuriant plants of every kind to grow in it, an instruction and a reminder for every penitent human being. (Surah Qaf, 6-8)

Have they not looked at the camel – how it was created? And at the sky – how it was raised up? And at the mountains – how they were embedded? And at the Earth – how it was smoothed out? So remind them! You are only a reminder. (Surat al-Ghashiyya, 17-21)

Do they not see the things Allah has created, casting their shadows to the right and to the left, prostrating themselves before Allah in complete humility? (Surat an-Nahl, 48)

In the creation of the heavens and Earth, and the alternation of the night and day, and the ships which sail the seas to people’s benefit, and the water which Allah sends down from the sky – by which He brings the Earth to life when it was dead and scatters about in it creatures of every kind – and the varying direction of the winds, and the clouds subservient between heaven and Earth, there are signs for people who use their intellect. (Surat al-Baqara, 164)

In the creation of the heavens and the Earth, and the alternation of night and day, there are signs for people with intelligence. (Surah Al ‘Imran, 190)

Among His signs is the creation of the heavens and Earth and the variety of your languages and colors. There are certainly signs in that for every being. (Surat ar-Rum, 22)

Among His signs is the creation of the heavens and Earth and all the creatures He has spread about in them. And He has the power to gather them together whenever He wills. (Surat ash-Shura, 29)

As believers grasp and see the scientific facts and grow in faith by studying Allah’s stunning artistry they will also come to possess the means of overcoming, using science and knowledge, the snares of those who slander Allah using supposed evidence. Those who adopt chance, nature and matter as their gods by seeking to deny Allah’s magnificent creation will be defeated in the face of the artistry displayed by our Lord and their false claims thus demolished. All the superstitious evidence brought forward by these people is eliminated by science and their empty struggles against Allah are all for nothing.

Allah advises people to reflect on creation, and the miraculous systems and each of the extraordinary 100 trillion cells that emerge in so doing by themselves rebut all these superstitious claims. Allah advises us to consider the creation of the heavens, and His creation through the Big Bang and the extraordinary equilibrium in the universe again eliminate this superstitious way of thinking. Allah advises us to look at the evidence in the Earth, and those glorious marvels of creation, fossils, that emerge from it totally rebuts the claims of Darwinism and materialism. Many more such proofs totally eliminate all the plans and schemes that Darwinists and materialists come up with, using so-called evidence, to oppose Allah.

One wise aspect behind the evidence for Allah’s creation that believers produce with knowledge and science is that it enables some people who blindly and ignorantly believed other people with their Darwinist and materialist mindsets to conclude, through the scientific evidence, that Allah is the sole Creator. The scientific evidence is instrumental in these people seeing the omnipotence of Allah in the things He creates and thus in coming to have faith.

A single tree, a single leaf or even a single seed is certainly enough to see the glory and Absolute Existence of our Almighty Lord. But for the pure and faithful who truly believe, seeing the extraordinary artistry in Allah’s detail by way of science is a great means whereby they can properly appreciate the might and greatness of Allah. It is for that reason that Almighty Allah has made science obligatory for all believers.

THE TRUE FRIEND IS ALLAH WHO WANTS ALL GOODNESS FOR HIS SERVANTS

Allah provided numerous blessings for his servants and created this life on earth as a trial stage for them. Every provision they will need, and like, had been prepared for them way before human beings were even created. The air they breathe, the birds that fly in the sky (each one more beautiful than the other), the plants that grow so pretty and in countless diversity, the flowers that bloom which are extremely aesthetic, unique blessings, the people they love, the most beautiful and cutest creatures that generate extreme excitement in the heart, a flawless balance system, and many more detailed creatures, were created by Allah for Himself.

Humans find everything that they need as ready when they come to life. They are all endowed with great comfort. Everything is proper to its own sizes and life conditions. Fruits, food, and the whole world, with the every single detail, are completely suitable for the life conditions of human beings. However, humans almost never show any effort to obtain these. They are faced with an excellent balance and harmony. All of these are created by Allah up to the tiniest details. Moreover, for the life on earth, which is in the trial stage, Allah sent a holy book via His prophets which contains everything in it to make it as a guidance for His servants. This holy book contains every issue that humans need to address and that clearly explains the ways of attaining Allah's sake: "... We have not omitted anything from the Book – then they will be gathered to their Lord.” (Surat al-An'am, 38)

Allah sent this guidance, a holy book, that distinguishes right from wrong, that depicts the behaviors which would be suitable for Allah's sake, that is full of wisdom, and which completely explains every issue that is needed to be known:

This is a Book We have sent down to you so that you can bring mankind from the darkness to the light, by the permission of their Lord, to the Path of the Almighty, the Praiseworthy. (Surah Ibrahim, 1)

For humans who find everything ready with the most comprehensive details, it is their task to live their life according to the morals of the Quran and based on the orders and advices Allah gives. As a servant who is turning towards Allah, who is the real Friend and for whom He created the most beautiful details with His endless wisdom, it is important to shape his life suitable for the sake of Allah, who is his Protector. That is Allah, who is to be liked, to be remembered, to be exalted, to be trusted, to be merited, and to be turned towards as a real Friend because He bestowed everything to human beings even before humans knew these. Allah is the only Protector of those who know that Allah is the only Friend, who takes shelter in His power and strength, and who trusts His supreme wisdom and mercy.

A person who knows that everything Allah created is good, prosperous, and a revelation of a supreme wisdom, would only trust his Lord and would only take shelter in Him. Therefore, in this world that is created as a trial stage, one of the fundamental features of a believing person should be trust in Allah. Trust in Allah is a person's reliance to Allah and to accept Him as his trustee. It is the requirement of faith to have a deep trust in Allah if a Muslim recognizes that every moment and every event that he deals with is created by Allah. That is one of the most essential features of faith--to show submission to Allah who created humans when they were nothing and who surrounds humans with His blessings everywhere. There is no one else to accept as a trustee other than Allah who creates goodness with constant and endless good morals. Therefore, Allah is the only presence to have trust in for a Muslim who lives according to the morals of the Quran. Allah orders that: “And put your trust in Allah. Allah suffices as a Guardian.” (Surat al-Ahzab, 3)

Love of God is essential to maintain the bonds of love between people

(From Mr. Adnan Oktar's live interview on Kanal 35 TV and TV Kayseri, November 22nd, 2009)
ADNAN OKTAR:
Masha’Allah, people think of religious statements as usual moral statements as very plain issues, and there are some aspects of this they don’t concentrate on. The fact is there are many secrets in the religion. One of these is patience. People live unbelievably comfortably and well thanks to patience. Patience totally eliminates all the obstacles to true love. Without patience, human beings are very sensitive entities, they will finish friendships in just 15 minutes, not even half an hour, when they become fixated with something someone said, a lack of interest on their part or any answers they may have given on any subject. That is enough for them to finish it. They can come up with the most terrible distortions. They can misunderstand something perfectly reasonable or the other party can really behave unreasonably, only doing it once or twice, but people are still open to real love. For that reason it seems almost impossible to maintain the bonds of true love among people, and that this can be seen only very, very rarely. In other words, many people in the world face this problem.
If you ask, as I was saying just yesterday, they will say they have one real friend, or maybe two, that is all. One needs great care and attention for true love to flourish, because unless people are very wise, very careful and attentive, and unless they know the other person really well, they will constantly clash and begin to behave in a way that the other person finds repulsive. Ignorance, for instance, has a very negative effect on people, but a wise person avoids ignorance, and he can educate himself, and increase their store of knowledge. But people do not regard ignorance as important. Yet it has a huge negative effect, for instance being unwise has a very negative effect, but one can educate ignorance out of people if one loves. The important thing is to decide to love. If you educate someone, their ignorance can vanish by time, being unwise can vanish in time, because once one follows the Qur’an one also becomes highly wise as long as he is clever. One has to educate them patiently, and direct them in such a way that they will love Allah.
It is very dangerous to try and make someone love you; that is always futile in the end. That is how it is. Someone who causes another to love Allah, also makes them love him. In other words, one needs to direct people to the source of true love, not to insist that they love us. Once they love Allah, they will love the other person as a manifestation of Allah. Otherwise their behavior will be very odd, and human beings are utterly helpless creatures with all their natural needs -without the soul, just a piece of flesh-. But the manifestation of Allah in them, His radiance, excites people, and Allah then creates love. In other words, there is a power in the heart known as love, an unknown power, not something deriving from flesh and blood. It is a light bestowed by Allah, a special emotion. And it grows in proportion to people’s faith; the more love for Allah a person has, the more human love he will have, too. People with little love of Allah have little capacity for love, they are too weak.
For example, the souls of the prophets were full of love; they loved animals, their wives, their children, their communities and the people around them. They loved plants and flowers. Our Prophet (saas) was like that, for instance. He was very, very patient and attached great importance to wisdom, regarding it as a manifestation of Allah. He had roses he loved very much. He loved plants, and cats, and his grandchildren. He used to laugh and joke with them. People normally expect a prophet to be serious all the time, but our Prophet (saas) was always very genuine and spontaneous toward Hazrat Hassan and Hussein. They used to come and sit by their grandfather as he performs his prayer. They would come and sit on top of him. He would have to wait for them to sit up from his prostrations. One of the companions prostrated himself in prayer, and when he sat up he saw that his grandson was sitting on top of our Prophet (saas), and that he would not raise his head until his grandson did so. Anyone else might have led the child off or got angry. He used to play catch with his wives, and joke with them, and was full of love. He would embrace Hassan and Hussein wherever he saw them, and was full of love for the children of other believers. He also had a great love of trees, and a love of everything beautiful, and he was exceptionally compassionate, as well as being exceedingly patient.
For example, somebody would say something, but he never grew angry and always answered in a pleasant manner. Many people became Muslims because of his patience. For example, he forgave Hazrat Wahshi, who martyred Hazrat Hamza, didn’t he? That is great patience. At the same time, he did not become angry, he was able to control his anger. He showed him affection for Allah’s sake, and he also became a very valuable person. Many people who saw him became Muslims in the same way. But there is a lack of patience today, a lack of patience can cause severe conflict between children going to school and their mothers, between mothers and spouses, between grandparents and grandchildren. For example, we should be more flexible toward the elderly, more tolerant and warmer. Because we should not necessarily seek logic in the elderly, and if their behavior defies logic, then affection must enter the equation.
There is no question of anyone always being in the right. The word “exasperation” is used a great deal. The Qur’an mentions the word. People become exasperated with their parents, whereas they should treat them with affection, shouldn’t they? If one is a believer, a mother or a father who fears Allah, one should treat them with great affection and be forgiving toward them, thus maintaining the bond of love. The reason why marriages fail is again a lack of patience. The husband or his spouse comes home late one day, for example, and a huge row develops. But there may have been a reason why he or she was delayed. We are all human. That is an unnecessary suspicion, isn’t it? One needs to have patient in this case, needs to be patient in trust, needs to be patient in putting one’s trust in Allah. If people live by these things, the result will be excellent, high-quality individuals, insha’Allah.
